Evan is responsible for the legal, compliance, privacy, state government affairs, and GSE relations functions.
With over 20 years of legal and business experience, Evan joined Enact from Fannie Mae, where he served most recently as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and its chief litigation officer. Prior to Fannie Mae, Evan was a partner with the law firm of Arent Fox PLLC, located in Washington, D.C., in its commercial litigation practice. While at Arent Fox, Evan represented companies in complex trial and appellate litigation, regulatory and transnational work, with a particular focus on trademark and copyright issues. Evan also clerked for judges at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the Maryland Court of Appeals. Evan earned his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Evan gives back to the local community through regular volunteerism, as well as Board service for both Habitat for Humanity of Wake County and the Research Triangle Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and cycling. Evan and his wife reside in the Raleigh, NC area.
